Water set to go off for some in Berryville

BERRYVILLE — Town residents in three areas will be without water tonight and Sunday morning to allow for line maintenance.

Town officials notified citizens Friday that water service will be interrupted from 10 p.m. today until 7 a.m. Sunday on Main Street from Rose Hill Park west to Church Street; North Church Street from Main Street to Barnett Street (including Barnett Street); and South Church Street from Main Street to Crow Street.

The length of the shutoff could vary, depending on the working conditions.

Residents were asked to open their cold-water taps for several minutes after service is restored, to clear any cloudy water.

In case of an emergency during the shutoff, residents should call Clarke County Communications at 540-955-1234.
