Winchester police investigate burglary, stolen safe at home

WINCHESTER — City police are investigating a report of a burglary with larceny Friday afternoon.

Spokeswoman Lauren Cummings said officers responded at about 1:45 p.m. to the 300 block of North Kent Street.

The homeowner reported coming home to find the door kicked in and a safe — which Cummings said contained an undisclosed amount of cash — missing.

She added that the case is under investigation and would not release other details about the incident.
