Woman is arrested after chase

WINCHESTER — A Texas woman posted bond Thursday after police say she eluded them while driving drunk.
According to a Winchester Police Department media release, Johanna R. Aguilar, 31, of Austin, is charged with eluding police and driving under the influence.
Cpl. K. Nixon saw a 1997 red Jeep Cherokee pass him at a high rate of speed without any lights on Wednesday evening near Cork Street and East Lane.
According to the release, the officer turned on his police lights and siren to stop the vehicle, but Aguilar continued on, making a right into an alley between Shawnee Avenue and Parkway Street.
The vehicle continued down the alley, crossing East Leicester Street, before pulling into the rear of a residence in the 300 block of Shawnee Avenue.
Aguilar was arrested and taken to the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center, where she posted a $3,000 bond Thursday morning, according to a jail official.
