- Start with Art: Beginner's Pottery

- Saturday, March 2 • 1–4 p.m.
This workshop will introduce youth ages 6 to 10 to the art of pottery. Participants will take a guided tour focused on the Museum’s Shenandoah Valley pottery collection and learn basic pottery terminology and techniques. Guided by instructor Emily Rhodes—owner of Winchester’s Polka Dot Pot studio—participants will create and paint a plate, bowl, or mug. The finished pieces will be displayed in an art show in the Museum’s BB&T Learning Center from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.
