- For adults, this class is for the beginning artist. Learn how to use design elements— line, shape, form, value, texture, color, and space—to create a work of art. Instructor Rhonda Smith, MSV coordinator of adult and gallery programs and former art teacher, will explain the use of balance, unity, contrast, movement, rhythm, emphasis, and pattern to guide participants in hands-on activities using a variety of materials and tools to create a work of art.
