- Gone with the Wind: Under the Stars
- Come enjoy a night under the stars for an outdoor movie screening of the American cinematic classic, Gone with the Wind, at the Historic Long Branch Natural Amphitheater. Historian and author Nicholas Redding will provide moviegoers with a brief introduction about how the historical understanding and interpretation of the 19th century American South has changed since the release of the film. Historic Long Branch will encourage moviegoers to watch the film while thinking about historical accuracy and the place this film holds in our memory of the American Civil War. Moviegoers will receive a “Historian’s Toolbox Playbill” that will provide them with the tools and facts to become critical historians for the night. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, and snacks and may begin to arrive at 6:30pm to enjoy a picnic with family and friends. Movie concessions will be available for purchase. The movie will start at 8:00pm. Rain or Shine. Admission is $8.00 per car.
