Virginia National Bank (186 North Loudoun Street, Winchester, VA 22601) will open a unique exhibition featuring counted cross-stitch artist Nina Vassallo on December 7 at 4 pm, on view until February 2013. Nina Vassallo was born in Russia, where she graduated from medical school and served for several years as a physician in a clinic in Moscow. She and her husband live in Winchester, Virginia. Twenty-one beautiful cross-stitch works adorn Nina’s home. She has a tradition: after finishing each design, she brings it to the International Club so her friends can share her joy in another masterpiece. She calls it The One Picture Show. Finally she decided to put a proper show together, so everyone could see the beauty otherwise hidden inside her home. When Nina's sister Lyuba heard about The Art of Cross Stitch exhibition, she brought over from Moscow (Russia) three new works of her own, featuring sights from her recent trips to Italy and The Czech Republic.
