Participants will learn about George Washington’s experiences in Winchester, play eighteenth-century games, and learn to write with a quill pen. Gallery Explorers will also take place on February 19 (miniatures and room boxes), February 26 (pottery), and March 5 (entertaining at Glen Burnie). Adults must accompany children. | General | Winter Reading! Handley Regional Library is participating in the state-wide Winter Reading program. Families are encouraged to read together during the month of February. Early literacy activities will be promoted through the libraries. Electronic registration for the Winter Reading program begins February 1. Reading club participants record their time spent reading, and for each six hours of reading, participants will receive a bookplate to place in a favorite book.
