General An Evening of Shakespeare and Love
Join Shenandoah Conservatory and the MSV for this special night! In honor of Valentine’s Day, at 7 and 8 p.m. students from the Conservatory’s Theater Department will perform selections from Shakespeare’s immortal love poems and scenes from Shakespeare’s famous plays exploring the foibles, pleasures, and pains of romantic love. The galleries will be open and the café will serve dinner and dessert from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Wine and beer will be available for purchase, too. Performance seating is first-come, first-served; tickets will be available beginning at 4 p.m. Free to MSV Members, ages 12 & under, and one guest per Member. All others: $5 (includes gallery admission).

General Scarpa Alta Sale to benefit CLEAN
Come enjoy an evening of light refreshments, shopping and giving back to your community. A portion of the night's sales will be donated to CLEAN; a not for profit organization whose mission is to provide leadership through education, advocacy and networking for a safe, healthy, drug-free community. General Shenandoah Valley Nursery & Greenhouse Association 2013 Winter Short Course
The Shenandoah Valley Nursery & Greenhouse Association's 2013 Winter Short Course will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 8:00am-3:30pm at the Robert E. Plecker Workforce Center at Blue Ridge Community College, Weyers Cave Campus. The pre-registration fee is $25. Persons who pre-register will pay $25 at the door; those who do not, will pay $30. General Winter Reading!
Handley Regional Library is participating in the state-wide Winter Reading program. Families are encouraged to read together during the month of February. Early literacy activities will be promoted through the libraries. Electronic registration for the Winter Reading program begins February 1. Reading club participants record their time spent reading, and for each six hours of reading, participants will receive a bookplate to place in a favorite book.
