General Gallery Explorers: Valley Pottery
Designed for youth ages 5 to 8, this free program will introduce participants to the world of pottery. Attendees will enjoy a pottery tour in the Shenandoah Valley Gallery and then return to the Museum’s BB&T Learning Center to make their own pottery creation to take home. Gallery Explorers will also take place on March 5 (entertaining at Glen Burnie). Adults must accompany children. Register early: this popular program fills up quickly! Free to children. General Winter Reading!
Handley Regional Library is participating in the state-wide Winter Reading program. Families are encouraged to read together during the month of February. Early literacy activities will be promoted through the libraries. Electronic registration for the Winter Reading program begins February 1. Reading club participants record their time spent reading, and for each six hours of reading, participants will receive a bookplate to place in a favorite book.
