| General | Maslenitsa - Russian cultrural event at Handley Library Maslenitsa, or Russian Pancakes Day, will be celebrated at Handley Library on Saturday, March 16, 1-4 pm, at 100 West Piccadilly Street, Winchester, Virginia. Maslenitsa is the most joyful Russian holiday as it celebrates the end of winter and marks the start of spring. To commemorate this cultural event, youth services is offering a special program featuring Russian circle dances, matryoshka (i.e., nesting dolls) workshop, children’s games, book readings and the chance to sample traditional Russian bliny (pancakes). This program is free and open to the public. |

| General | Clarke County Little League Fundraise Dinner and Auction Clarke County Little League is in its second year of raising funds to purchase and install lights on one of the ball filds at Clarke County Parks and Recreation. The proceeds from this event will be used for project "Help Give Our Kids Lights!" The dinner will be prepared by the Horseshoe Curve Benevolent Association and will consist of: Spaghetti with homemade marinara sauce and New York Italian meatballs; fresh, handmade tossed salad; baked apples; garlic and non-garlic bread; desserts; tea, lemonade, or water. The event also includes a Longaberger raffle, Chance bag, tips, and a Silent and Live Auction. |
