Winchester’s First Weight Loss Challenge! Inspired in Other States by TV’s “The Biggest Loser” Get a head start on your New Year’s Resolution to lose those unwanted pounds and have fun doing it—be part of Winchester’s First Weight Loss Challenge! A $39 entry fee enrolls you in a 13-week class that offers tips on health, nutrition, and weight loss—and the fun of competition and the chance to win cash if you’re one of the top three losers at the end of the program. Each participant will be weighed and measured every week and will receive hand-outs of information along with access to a web site that provides new information each week. The entry fee goes back to the community—a portion to a Winchester charity and the rest to the top three losers. Miss a weigh-in? Pay a $5 fine. Did you gain this week? That’s $1 per pound. All these fees go into the collection that will be paid out at the end of the competition. “I want to help people learn how to lose weight but feel good doing it,” says Marcia, a personal health and wellness coach conducting this Weight Loss Challenge. “I’ve fought weight problems all my life, and still fight it, but I’ve finally learned how to do it in a way that’s healthy, easy, and doesn’t turn my life upside down. And for the first time ever, I actually have energy while my weight is dropping. Obesity is an epidemic in our country, and if I can help others avoid some of the pitfalls I’ve gone through—especially our young people—then I’m doing something good for Winchester.” Winchester’s First Weight Loss Challenge starts on Tuesday, December 15 at 7:00 p.m. Call Marcia’s business number to RSVP and to pre-register.
