SHAKE, RATTLE, AND ROLL!:1950s DANCE CLASS
Friday, September 10 • 6–7 p.m.
Bring the family, a date, or yourself to the MSV and discover—or relive— the many dances made popular by songs in the 1950s. Many of these dances stemmed from the big band music of the 1940s. Then, Elvis and rock ’n’ roll arrived, enabling dancers to dance with or without a partner. Dance instructor Kay Teachout, owner of Kay’s School of Dance in Stephens City, will help dancers of all ages learn the twist, the stroll, the mashed potato, the jitterbug and more. Shake, rattle, and roll at this fun, FREE workshop on the Reception Hall patio and then head down to Gardens at Night to try out your dance moves!
Free to all. Registration not required. Rain location: MSV Reception Hall
