MSV Galleries at Night: Exploring Modern Art

On this special day, the Museum galleries are open from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.! The evening’s highlight will be guided art tours that focus on selected works in the exhibition Matisse, Picasso, and Modern Art in Paris. Tours will be offered every half hour beginning at 6:30 p.m. and will last approximately 20 minutes. Before or after the gallery tours, visit the Museum Store for the Holiday Preview event (see event listing below for details), and stop by the café for a light dinner or dessert. In honor of the evening’s focus on art created in Paris, Winchester’s Murphy Beverage Company will be in the Museum lobby selling French wine, classical guitarist Chris Wyton will be in the Reception Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. playing beautiful music for you to enjoy with that glass of wine, and a youth art activity will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Learning Center. In the informal art activity, participants will create a modern art-inspired collage and work on mosaic art. And that’s not all!
