A beautiful sight: Walking in a Winter Wonderland aglow at Clearbrook Park

Chloe Simmons, 12, of Winchester, takes in the sights at the annual Walking in a Winter Wonderland holiday light show in Clearbrook Park Tuesday night. The show, hosted by the Frederick County Parks and Recreation Department, continues through Jan. 1 (closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve). It features hundreds of thousands of lights along a half-mile paved path, nightly appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a computer-controlled light display coordinated with music. Admission is $6.50 for ages 3 and older, $8.50 at the gate with a credit card only and free for ages 0-1. It's recommended to purchase tickets in advance at https://tinyurl.com/3d6tu6a8. For more information, call 540-665-5600. Parking is available at the Clearbrook Pool by entering the parking lot entrance via Brucetown Road, 130 Poolside Drive. Friendly, leashed dogs welcome on Sunday nights only. Service dogs are permitted any time, but they must be leashed.
