An exciting opportunity for boys and girls ages 7-12 to attend either session of Civil War Day Camp. The first camp will be held July 8-12; the second camp will be held July 22-26, 2019.

Get hands-on with history as we explore the Civil War and the Battle of New Market from the perspective of the Union and Confederate soldiers, the civilians, and the VMI cadets.

Learn to drill, eat period food, play games that they might have played, create your own version of the 19th century crafts, tour the battlefield, earn prizes, and lots more.

Quartermaster: Outfit your soldier with a soldier's hat (kepi), a haversack, and a canteen. All for $35.00. The uniform kit is not required to attend; it is a popular optional item. You must be a registered camper to receive the discount.

$20 per recruit per day. Sign up for all five days and save $20.00--five days of fun for the price of four! Three day minimum is required to participate. Limited to 30 campers per session (minimum of five campers needed for program to take place) so sign up early to reserve your spot.

Register before June 28, 2019 for Camp #1;  Register before July 12, 2019 for Camp #2
