In this fun and fast-paced workshop, you'll learn how to use sketching to creatively document your life (things you love, memorable events, travel adventures, nature explorations, for example). We'll cover sketching as a hobby, commonly used sketching tools, sketch kit suggestions, what to sketch and how to do it quickly, creative design for your sketchbook pages, and how to develop a sketching practice. Each student will receive a small multimedia sketchbook to work in during the workshop and to keep. There will be plenty of hands-on sketching practice with a variety of tools throughout the day. Beginners are welcome. Loaner sketch kits and all other materials provided...just bring a creative spirit! Instructor: Carole Pivarnik
