Violet W. Glover, 84, of Winchester, VA., went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2019. She was born June 9, 1934 in Loudoun Co., the daughter of the late Aylor and Blanche Williams from Lucketts, VA.

She loved attending her church and being with her church family. She loved collecting coffee pots, roosters and chickens. Violet enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James Glover of 28 years. Violet’s children are Betty Jean Oversteet (Bill) of Staunton, VA., Lee Rita Tomas (Tandy) of Berryville, VA, Christine Carol Herndon (Larry) of Leesburg, VA.; a son, Robert Lee Spinks of Winchester, VA.; step-daughter, Lynda Kennedy, formerly of Charlottesville, VA.; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandkids; and several nieces and nephews.

She is the last of 10 siblings total.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Valley Assembly of God Church, 2376 4th Street in Middletown, VA. at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Willian Wood officiating.

Family will receive friends Thursday one hour before service at the church.

Internment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA.
