Standing up for George Floyd

Julian Moon, 12, of Winchester, biked along Boscawen Street holding a Black Lives Matter sign in remembrance of George Floyd during a protest in Floyd’s honor on Sunday night in downtown Winchester. Julian came to the protest on his own. Floyd was killed while in police custody in Minneapolis on Memorial Day. Julian, who is biracial, said Floyd’s death made him feel “mad and sad.” He added: “We’re not different than other people.”
